How do I finish Nuisance with the cart, goods bag and shack?

Three playthroughs agree that Peaches gives Nuisance and rewards the returned goods bag with a shack key. What they do not agree on is where the shack is — and two of the three players could not find it from the hint either.

Quick answer

Take Nuisance from Peaches in Magdal's Rest. In Wizard Worm's route, go straight past the guard, turn left at the crossroads where a figure stands on the hill, and follow the road south to the ambushed cart; loot the goods bag from its crates and return it for a shack key. That cart route has one source and has not been independently reproduced. Finding the shack afterwards is the hard part: three recordings of the same reward dialogue give three different directions or none at all, and both players who tried to use the hint on camera failed to find the building with it. Wizard Worm eventually reaches it from the gate — left, past the fortune teller, left again, then around. Every recording here predates Update 6, which NerveLabs says clarified quest directions.

Steps

  1. Speak to the merchant Peaches in Magdal's Rest and take the quest Nuisance.
  2. Following Wizard Worm's route, continue straight past the guard, turn left at the crossroads where a figure stands on the hill, and follow the road south.
  3. At the cart where skeletons ambushed it, loot the goods bag from the crates. Wizard Worm fights the skeletons unarmed and takes basic armour off them; an optional sword lies in the grass back near Peaches.
  4. Return the goods bag to Peaches to receive the key to a shack the player then owns.
  5. Do not rely on Peaches' directions to find the shack. Wizard Worm's own route from the gate is: turn left, pass the fortune teller, turn left again and go around.

What the three recordings actually agree on

  • All three record Peaches saying, in effect, “As promised, here’s the key to the shack.” That line is the only part of the exchange every source reproduces.
  • originalavram and SaintedMajor also match word for word on the lines around it, including the offer of further work afterwards.
  • They do not agree on what comes next. originalavram hears “It’s just south of here.” SaintedMajor’s recording of the same exchange has no directional sentence at all. Wizard Worm hears a one-storey building with a stool outside.
  • We cannot tell from recordings whether that is dialogue variation, a player advancing the conversation early, or a gap in the captions — so this page treats none of the three as the authoritative hint.

Requirements / limits

  • Wizard Worm is the only source for the cart landmarks, skeleton ambush, crate location and the route to the shack door; none of that has been independently reproduced.
  • Wizard Worm, originalavram and SaintedMajor independently show Peaches and the shack-key reward.
  • Wizard Worm rejects two candidate buildings on camera and points out that almost every building in town has a stool beside it. originalavram wanders after the “south of here” line, asking whether each building is the shack.
  • Every recording used here was uploaded between 18 and 19 August 2026, before Update 6 on 20 August. NerveLabs says that update clarified quest directions, points of interest and journal entries, so the hint a reader hears today may not be any of the three above.
  • The quoted dialogue comes from machine-generated captions, which mis-transcribe names elsewhere in the same files. Treat it as what was said, not as an exact reading of the on-screen text.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for the goods bag as a loose ground item instead of looting the cart's crates in Wizard Worm's route.
  • Treating any of the three shack hints as a verified map route.
  • Assuming the stool is a useful landmark — the one player who tried it found stools outside almost every building.
  • Claiming the videos independently reproduce the cart path when only one of them shows it.
